WHAT GUARANTEES DOES HARO OFFER?
At Haro, we make no compromises when it comes to the quality and reliability of our products. We fully stand behind every single item we offer. Our priority is transparency and clarity, and this page is here to give you all the important details about our warranty and guarantee terms and conditions should a problem arise.
HARO WARRANTY
All HARO brand products (bicycles, other parts, accessories and clothing as well as frame finishes and graphics) are covered by a two-year warranty in accordance with statutory provisions. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the
Replacement of products that become defective within 2 years of the date of purchase due to manufacturing defects or material defects. Replacement and wearing parts such as drive components (chain and cassette), paintwork, bearings or cables are excluded from the warranty. This also does not apply to damage caused by external influences such as accident damage, improper use or wear.
EXTENDED HARO WARRANTY PROGRAM
In addition to the statutory warranty, we offer a voluntary six-year warranty on Haro frames and forks to customers who register their bike within the first ninety days of purchase. Elements not covered include, but are not limited to, wear and tear, damage due to accidents or accidental events, and damage caused by misuse or corrosion.
This guarantee covers manufacturing or material defects that were already present at the time of delivery. Damage caused by external influences or improper use is excluded from the guarantee. The guarantee only applies to the first owner of the bicycle. The guarantee claim is not transferable.
In the event of a warranty claim, the owner of the bicycle will be responsible for the costs of return shipping, rebuilding, delivery and customs (if applicable). These costs are not covered by Haro Bikes and are the responsibility of the owner.
Should the item being replaced no longer be available in the original colour, we reserve the right to offer an alternative colour or upgrade to the successor model of the product, at our discretion, to ensure that the warranty claim is met.
Please note that these additional terms apply specifically to warranty claims and not to guarantee claims. If you have any questions about these terms or the processing of a warranty claim, please do not hesitate to contact us.
HARO CRASH REPLACEMENT FOR HARO CARBON FRAMES AND FORKS
If your HARO carbon frame or HARO carbon fork is damaged or destroyed by an accident or fall within two years of the purchase date, we offer you our Crash Replacement Service. You will receive your HARO frame or fork or a comparable HARO frame or fork from our current range at 50% of the retail price.
The frame or fork will be replaced in our company or at an authorized HARO specialist dealer. You are not entitled to have a new frame or fork sent to you. You will be responsible for the costs of assembling the new frame or fork yourself. You will of course receive a cost estimate before the exchange. You are welcome to bring your bike to us in person for exchange. If this is not possible for you, please send us your bike at your own expense after making an appointment. You will be charged for the costs of shipping there and back and for assembly. This service is only available for damage that cannot be covered by insurance.
In the event of an exchange, we will offer you a HARO replacement frame or fork that is as similar as possible, provided that no identical article is available. In this case, there is no entitlement to the original article being delivered and incompatibilities with other components may occur. Ownership of the exchanged, defective components, in particular frames or forks, is transferred to HARO Bikes Europe GmbH in the course of carrying out the crash replacement service order.
The replaced components, frames or forks will be disposed of properly by us or our specialist dealers at our expense. The crash replacement service only applies to you as the original owner if you have registered your product with us within the first ninety days of purchase, is not transferable and is a service provided by HARO Bikes Europe GmbH.
ASSERT YOUR CLAIMS
To make a claim under the warranty or guarantee, please contact your retailer or our customer service department. Please have your proof of purchase or invoice ready to process your request. Our customer service department will review your request and explain the next steps. This may include sending the product in for repair or replacing the product. Please note that the warranty and guarantee do not apply to damage caused by improper use, misuse, normal wear and tear or external influences.
The warranty only applies to the frames and forks of bicycles registered with us within ninety days of purchase.
Items/parts not covered include, but are not limited to, wear and tear, damage due to accidents or accidental events, and damage due to misuse or corrosion.
Any repairs or modifications to our products by unauthorized persons may void the warranty or guarantee claims.
