In the early 80s, Haro was a pioneer of the freestyle movement and has since grown into a global company with its roots firmly embedded in the DNA of cycling. Our bikes are designed by riders for riders who seek out challenges, appreciate progressive riding, and always want to push boundaries.

Today, we are turning the page to a new chapter, focusing on technical advancements and innovative design.

OUR BEGINNINGS

HARO Bikes was founded in 1978 by BMX pioneer Bob Haro in San Diego. This was exactly when the Bicycle Moto Cross boom was spreading explosively around the world. Bob Haro wanted to develop the best bikes for BMX racing to further advance the sport.

Driven by Bob Haro's ideas, HARO Bikes quickly became the market and technology leader for BMX performance bikes. In the mid-80s, a new era began in California. The mountain bike began its global ascent, and Haro was one of its pioneers.
